"Are you mad?" and "I know this song"

So many things have happened since my last post in April. Back in February, Kevin and I went on a cruise with our good friends (Riley and Britt, Cody and Stacie, Bart and Elizabeth, and Kevin and Brenda). We went on a cruise to the Southern Caribbean. We had a blast. The day before we left, we took Kenlee to a pizza and games place. It was so hard to leave her. On the cruise, we went to St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and St. Maarten. The weather was beautiful. We mostly spent our time relaxing at the beaches. In Barbados, we went on a catamaran and in St. Lucia we went on a tour with Harod. His mom and dad made us lunch, we sat in a minderal bath, saw the island and then finished the day at the white sand beach. We all had a great time and I wish we could go back there.

After the cruise, we went to NASCAR. Kenlee, mom and Aunt Tracy came with us. Since we just got back from the cruise, most of our friends were unable to go to NASCAR. So, we took Kenlee. She was so good and had an absolute blast.

Car Accident | Everyone seems okay

Yesterday Kevin and Kenlee were in a car accident. The day started out crazy. I took Kenlee to see Dr. Kelly as she wasn't feeling well and after being there for nearly two hours we found out that she had an ear infection. :( After her appointment, I took Kenlee to school and I came in to work. Kevin and I wanted to keep her from being at school too long so we both decided to check her out early. I had Kevin stop by work and grab Kenlee's rx so he could drop it off at the pharmacy and I could pick it up. After he picked up the rx, we both decided to go and pick Kenlee up from school and surprise her. She was so excited to see us. :) They dropped me off back at work and I went in to the gym and within 5 minutes Kevin called me. He started off by saying "we are okay, but we have been in an accident". My heart dropped to the ground. I ran out of the office, hopped in the trunk and headed their way. When I arrived, Kenlee was crying and so was I. We both then called down and made sure that everyone was ok. The gentleman who hit us was a wreck too. I guess what happened was that on the other side of Bangerter there were several cops drawing guns on a girl in her vehicle. This caused drivers to stop and stare. Kevin had to slam on his breaks and he had enough time to look in the rearview mirror and see this guy coming quickly. He took his foot off the brake and had one second to try and move the car to the side of the road in hopes of missing the car in front of him. Luckily he didn't hit the car in front of him, but the gentleman did rear end them at about 40 mph. The paramedics came and checked Kenlee out and she seemed to be okay. We have been watching her like a hawk. They towed both cars away and everyone seems okay.

Things like this definitely put life in to perspective. I am so glad my family is safe.

There's a spot for you over here....

Kenlee has been saying the funniest things. "Dad, are you done?" and he said "yes". She then said "Yeah! There is a spot for you over here". :) Last night, Kevin was putting our new video camera together in the kitchen, while my mom, Kenlee and I were in the family room watching TV. When Kevin got up from the table she asked him, "Dad, are you done?" and he said "yes". She said "Yeah! There is a spot for you over here". :)
Also yesterday Kenlee was looking for Charlee. When I asked her why she was looking for her, she said, "because she is my best friend". :)
What else is new? She is loving her Tangled Barbie. She loves combing her hair. Just the other night Kenlee woke up panicked. She was calling out for Tangled. Wondering where Tangled was. I got up, found Tangled and took her up to Kenlee. Kenlee was so excited when I handed her her doll. She smiled, took Tangled in her arms and went to sleep.

Babies and Dress Up

So, I love watching my little girl grow up. She has been so in to babies. She feeds them, loves them, puts them in time out, puts them to sleep...it is so cute. A couple days ago, Kenlee was in my room and when I poked my head in to see what she was doing, I found her taking my clothes and playing dressing up. She wanted to dress up to go and "see the movie". Ever since that day, she will go through my clothes and put them on. Yesterday was a skirt and a long sleeved t-shirt. Then she changed to my workout pants and sports bra. I sure love that girl.

Over the weekend we went to Steph and Nate's cabin in Scofield. It is absolutely beautiful and we had a great time. We arrived Friday night and had dinner, chatted and played cards. Kenlee LOVED playing with her cousins. We sure missed Bry, Jen and Rylee though. Saturday we had a great breakfast, bundled ourselved up and headed out in to the cold, windy weather. We went sledding and for a rhino ride and then the wind was too much for Kenlee, so we headed back in. The weather was not the greatest, but we made the best of it. We watched movies, played more games and just enjoyed one another's company.

What else is new? Well, Kenlee is not longer sleeping or using her binkie! Yes! On 1/11/11 I forgot to leave Kenlee's binkie at school (it was in my coat pocket). When I picked her up, I figured that she would have missed her nap, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that she took an hour nap without her binkie. Miss Aly told her that she couldn't find her binkie (because she really couldn't). So, I tried that same tactic at home. She definitely wanted it, but she fell asleep with out it. We tried it the next day, the next day and here we are...no more binkie!

Kenlee is also saying the funniest things. She will come up to you and say "what are you talking about?". She asked the Kevin the other day (when he was in a bad mood) "what is your problem?". She has been so lovey too. She will say "Mom, we are buddies" and "I love you so much". She is definitely getting an attitude and a temper, but she just melts my heart with her cute little sayings.
